Head up Wayne. Thanks for sharing a bit of yourself with the rest of buddy.. I can both sympathize and empathize with you. Cancer is a terrible thing and it cuts short so many lives undeservingly. All you can do is celebrate the time we get with our friends, loved ones, family, and anyone else that happens 2 b in our lives. Stay strong my friend, you got one hell of a support group at CFP!!

In short and on topic it took me 19minutes to do this wod RX I'm not too happy about my time but I guess the following will make sense.

I apologize for the length of this post.

I went to work hurting after yesterdays wod, my traps and upper back feel like they want to explode with awesome, my teardrop on my right quad was super tender. I got my nutrition dialed in and felt really good about todays workout. I slept, and my body naturally woke up at 10:45 15 minutes before my alarm anxious for me to come and crush this workout.

My leg no longer hurt, my upper back still a little tight and sore which the warm up I'm sure will shake it out. Otherwise I felt strong, so much in fact that if I brushed up against a door frame I'd believe I'd bust it out of the wall strong.

I grab my phone to turn off my alarm and check my email and see I have a message in my facebook inbox letting me know a close friend who lives right around the corner passed away this morning at 5:30am (the time I get off of work) at home due to cancer.

My whole world just got flipped over on it's ass. My focus is weary, and my heart is heavy. Just 6 months ago I watched Transformers 3 with my friend who was 38 years young. He just had a daughter and I've been following his treatment of what we thought was originally just bladder stones. He was recovering from removal of some dead tissue and the biopsy revealed it was the big C and time was short.

Needless to say tears were shed, and I'm trying to hold my head high, one moment someone is here and the next they're gone. I complain about some of the most mundane and unecessary shit on a daily basis and here is my friend dying of cancer, dead of cancer.

I just held it all in and threw that frustration at this workout, I am thankful for every day I have on this earth, for every breath I take and for every moment I have to spend it with my loved ones and to meet new wonderful people like all of you.

It may have not seemed like it at noon today but you guys really helped me keep my shit together as the wod itself was hard enough, and to have that on the back of my mind. Rope breaking on the first round, fuck it grab another rope you don't like. Life serves you challenges in many different ways.

What do I have to complain about, I am in perfect health (well not so perfect) have all of my fingers, my hairline, and of course good looks j/k. The diet, heavy weight, jd is a slave runner with his programming and I love him for it. All of that shit doesn't matter.

If you see someone you love today, give them a hug and let them know.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Really not how I wanted to start my day but I am glad that I have the day to spend unlike some others.

Rest in peace Ken Lee, and to everyone else who we have lost due to Cancer.

I'm a fucking mess right now.

This one was awesome! But, going at 60kg is just asking for it. 50kg was tough enough. The DU's catch up real quick...the last 2 feel as bad as the first 10

Enjoy!

Colleen

With our beastly sized classes and Phat Elvis, I have noticed a need for more weights (especially the 2kgs). Is that on the horizon? Amazing to see the growth of the gym in the last year! Awesome!

I see numbers changing but the stupid double unders stay the same, but it's okay. http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lwlckjQeRi1qcd64co1_400.gif
